Barrie's Walk

Barrie's Walk

Monday 16th July 2007

Leeds Rhinos legend, Barrie McDermott, faced his biggest challenge yet in July 2007, when he walked ONE HUNDRED MILES for charity.  Barrie covered the length and breadth of Leeds to raise money for Kids Count Trust and the Leeds Rugby Foundation.

The former Rhinos prop-forward walked twenty miles every day and was joined by friends including 96.3 Radio Aire's Monkey Boy from the Simon Logan Breakfast Show and local supporters to collect money and cheer him on.

Barrie's Walk was part of 96.3 Radio Aire's Feel Good Leeds campaign in partnership with Leeds City Council and the Primary Care Trust.
